SANEF Correction on Media Statement of the Informer Community Newspaper in the Eastern Cape

SANEF’s attention has been drawn to the fact that in a statement issued by SANEF on December 2 Mrs Nontsikelelo Matubatuba was described as the Municipal Manager of the Alfred Nzo District in the Eastern Cape. SANEF was misinformed and regrets the error. She is the municipality’s Special Programme Unit Manager.

Mrs Matubatuba also disputes the accuracy of other claims in the statement but SANEF’s informant, editor Andile Nomabhunga of The Informer community newspaper, stands by their accuracy. SANEF believes the accuracy or otherwise of the claims will be settled in the court case against Nomabhunga on charges of trespass and awaits the outcome of the case before reacting further.
