SANEF Congratulates Mathatha Tsedu and Benjamin Pogrund

25 April 2019

The South African National Editors’ Forum (SANEF) would like to congratulate both Mathatha Tsedu and Benjamin Pogrund for being honoured today by President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Tsedu and Pogrund received the Order of Ikhamanga, which recognises South African citizens who have excelled in the fields of arts, culture, literature, music, journalism and sport.

Tsedu is a veteran journalist with decades of experience as a journalist and editor. He is also a founding member of SANEF who over the years has played a key role in building the stature of the organisation.

Pogrund is a veteran journalist who now lives in Israel. He is also the author of the popular biography: How can man die better: The life of Robert Sobukwe. The book focuses on the life of liberation struggle stalwart and founder of the Pan Africanist Congress of Azania, Robert Sobukwe.

SANEF would like to congratulate both Tsedu and Pogrund for receiving this most prestigious award. We believe it is richly deserved.
